Sizzix Machine Mania
Friday, September 9 @ 6-8PM
$25.00
This class is all about showing off three popular Sizzix machines
-the Textured Boutique, the Big Shot, and the Vagabond. You’ll get to try all three machines with different materials as Karen shows you all the features and tips for using them. Along the way you’ll construct a fabulous personalized project - a pop-up photo brag book using the Pop-up Twist Cube along with the Scoreboard Memo Holder with an embossed accent piece.
Please bring these supplies to class:
• A set of FOUR 4x6 photos to use on the cube. Photos can be either horizontal or
vertical, but the subject in each photo should fit in a 3” square. (Tip: Cut a 3” square
from scrap paper and use it as a template to check your photos. DO NOT TRIM
PHOTOS - just check that the subject fits in a 3x3 square and bring the untrimmed 4x6
photos to class for die cutting) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: bring two identical sets of
photos so you have a back-up in case you make a die-cutting error.
• One sheet of 12x12 patterned paper that matches the colors and/or theme of your
photos. (Example: if using Christmas photos, bring a sheet of Christmas paper.) The
paper will be cut down into small squares, no larger than 4x4, so choose a paper with
an all-over pattern (or stripes) that will look good in small chunks.
• One 6” piece of ribbon that matches your theme/paper/colors. Ribbon should not be
wider than 1/2” and should not have wire. The best ribbons are 0.25” or 3/8” in width.
• Scissors
• 12" paper trimmer
• Mini Stapler and staples (if you have one - Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher is my favorite!)
• Favorite adhesives - dry (tape runner with refill) and wet (fine line glue pen)
• Strong adhesives - red liner tacky tape (1/4" wide), mini-glue dots
• Paper Piercer
