This month's trade is an altered tea cup. It's a one-on-one trade (so you only make one). Please decorate in holiday decor. No need to sign up in advance. Just decorate, bring to CYI and trade that night.

Vicki is demonstrating how she put together her toilet roll book. BYO 6 (empty) toilet paper rolls. It helps to flatten these in advance. You will also need: adhesive; paper to cover rolls; ink to edge paper and rolls; chipboard for the covers; basic supplies. Vicki also used Basic Gray magnets to close the book. For Keeps Sake has these on order so hopefully they will arrive before CYI!
Monday, September 3 @ 2-4pm or 6-8pm
Join this class where we create 3 cards per workshop and you keep the stamp set. This month's set is from Technique Tuesday and features all things Autumn. There's even a cute basket that can be changed out to hold apples, pumpkins or leaves.
In addition to the basics listed above, please bring to class:
Mouse pad
Stylus
Scattered Straw and Rusty Hinge Distress Ink
Sepia toned ink (any brand will be fine)
Heat gun
Copic Markers: YR24; E57; 0; E09; E07; R24; YG63, Y32 (We're coloring apples, leaves and the basket so any colors close to those listed will work just fine. And if you prefer to use colored pencils or another medium, that will work as well.)
Saturday, September 29: 10:30 am - 4 pm: Bookbinding - $30
Each month I teach a workshop that focuses on bookbinding. This month, we're taking it a bit easy and using an acrylic schoolhouse book! Learn to cover acrylic in a way that combines the see-through pages with plenty of room to place first day of school photos. It's so cute, I'm sure you'll want to make more! Perfect for Grandparents to record the Grandchildren or their own school room photos!
Wednesday, September 19 @ 6pm
This month in recipe class . . . DIVIDERS!
Tuesday, September 18 @ 2pm or 6pm ONLY $10
Each month Nancy will share great techniques! I'll bring some of these delightful stamps to class where we can practice batik techniques. I think you'll love doing this really simple but WOW factor technique. If you don't like Halloween, then please BYO stamps that you do love - two or three will do.
We will need to use:
Heat gun
Clear embossing powder and Versamark Ink pad
Craft iron (if you have one)
A towel (if you're bringing an iron)
Clear blocks for stamps
Your favorite colors for inking Halloween backgrounds: greens, oranges, purples, blacks
Edge distresser
It's going to be difficult for you to appreciate this technique from the photo below but it is a *wow* factor technique and one I'm sure you'll love
Tuesday, September 25 @ 10:30 & 6PM
and Wednesday September 26 @ 6PM
This month in Northwood's class, we will be making 3 beautiful fall/ Thanksgiving cards. The Tuesday class is already full and Mary has added a Wednesday session!
A note from Mary:
My Northwoods cards class is more popular than ever with August being a very large class. Thanks to all of you for being patient with me. I have decided to limit each class to 15 students. When needed I will add an additional class to accomodate everyone. I love teaching this class and feel like I could not give every one the attention they needed and hopefully this will be much more enjoyable for everyone. Thank you for attending my classes. I truly appreciate it!
